ADREEVA'S ADVISORS

 The Board of Advisors of ADREEVA School of Health Professions plays a critical consultative role within the institution’s governance framework, supporting its commitment to academic excellence, industry relevance, and strategic growth. Operating alongside the Board of Trustees, the Advisory Board provides independent, expert guidance to inform decision-making and strengthen institutional effectiveness.

The Board of Advisors is responsible for offering strategic insights on academic programs, emerging trends in healthcare and life sciences, workforce development needs, and global best practices in higher education. It serves as a bridge between the institution and the broader professional community, ensuring that ADREEVA’s programs remain responsive to industry demands and aligned with evolving healthcare standards.

Through its advisory function, the Board contributes to curriculum innovation, research direction, partnerships, and capacity-building initiatives. While it does not exercise fiduciary authority, its recommendations play a vital role in shaping institutional priorities and enhancing the quality and relevance of academic offerings.

The Board of Advisors is composed of accomplished leaders and subject-matter experts from healthcare, academia, research, industry, and public policy. This diverse and multidisciplinary composition ensures that ADREEVA benefits from a wide range of perspectives, enabling it to remain forward-looking, competitive, and aligned with both national and international expectations in health professions education.

Board of Advisors

Prof. Olwyn Westwood

 Professor Olwyn Westwood is an internationally recognised leader in medical and health professions education with extensive experience in curriculum development, accreditation, quality assurance, and academic leadership. She currently serves as Professor of Medical Education at Brunel Medical School, Brunel University of London. 

Over her distinguished career, Professor Westwood has contributed to the successful development and accreditation of medical schools and healthcare programmes across the UK and internationally. She has held senior academic positions at Queen Mary University of London, Warwick Medical School, the University of Surrey, and Swansea University. 

A Fellow of the Academy of Medical Educators and the Royal Society of Medicine, Professor Westwood brings exceptional expertise in medical education, quality standards, and healthcare workforce development to ADREEVA School of Health Professions. 

Prof. Ayush Kumar

Dr. Ayush Kumar is an internationally recognized microbiologist, researcher, and academic leader currently serving as Professor of Microbiology, Vice-Provost (Academic Affairs) and Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives at the University of Manitoba, Canada. He has over two decades of experience in higher education, biomedical research, and academic administration, with extensive expertise in antimicrobial resistance, infectious diseases, and public health research. 

A highly accomplished scholar, Dr. Kumar has secured numerous competitive research grants and has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications in leading international journals. His research has significantly advanced the understanding of multidrug-resistant bacterial pathogens and strategies to combat antimicrobial resistance. 

As a member of the Board of Advisors of ADREEVA School of Health Professions, Dr. Kumar provides strategic guidance on academic quality, research development, curriculum innovation, and international collaborations. His global perspective and commitment to excellence strengthen ADREEVA’s mission of preparing competent healthcare professionals and advancing health sciences education.

Dr. Manish Mishra

Dr. Manish Mishra is an accomplished biomedical scientist and medical educator with extensive experience in biochemistry and molecular biology. He currently serves as Associate Professor and Director of the Master of Science in Preclinical Sciences program at Mercer University School of Medicine, Atlanta, USA.

Dr. Mishra holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and has over two decades of experience in medical education, research, and academic leadership. His career includes faculty and leadership roles across international medical institutions, where he has contributed to curriculum development, student training, and program administration.

A published researcher with numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, Dr. Mishra is actively engaged in global health research collaborations, including the Global Burden of Disease Study. He is also a reviewer and editor for several leading scientific journals.

As a member of the Board of Advisors at ADREEVA School of Health Professions, Dr. Mishra provides strategic guidance in biomedical education, curriculum development, and research advancement, supporting the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and the training of future healthcare professionals.

Ms. Mamadi Lovetta Koroma

Ms. Koroma, graduate in Health Education from Njala University, is a dedicated health education professional with a strong foundation in public health, community engagement, and infection prevention and control. 

Ms. Koroma brings practical experience from both clinical and community health environments. She has served as an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Officer with the Medical and Dental Council of Sierra Leone, where she contributed to strengthening health safety standards and promoting best practices in clinical settings. During her internship at Life Care Hospital in Lumley, she worked closely with patients, providing counseling on personal hygiene and prevention of infectious diseases such as HIV, tuberculosis, and hepatitis.

Her experience also includes working with Solidaridad Sierra Leone as a Data Enumerator, where she supported baseline, midline, and end-line data collection efforts, contributing to evidence-based program implementation and evaluation.

Ms. Koroma is recognized for her strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and ability to work effectively under pressure. She is highly regarded for her people-centered approach, commitment to ethical standards, and passion for knowledge sharing. Her expertise in data collection tools such as Kobo Collect and ODK, as well as training in monitoring and evaluation, further enhances her contribution to health systems strengthening.

As a member of the Board of Advisors at ADREEVA School of Health Professions, Ms. Koroma provides valuable insights into health education, community sensitization, community health practices, and infection prevention strategies, supporting the institution’s mission to train competent and compassionate healthcare professionals. 

Prof. Bajarang Bali Lal Srivastava

Prof. Bajarang Bali Lal Srivastava is a distinguished academic, researcher, and innovator with over 20 years of experience in Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Forensic Science, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. He currently serves as Professor at the University of Dodoma, Tanzania and has contributed extensively to research, curriculum development, and health sciences education across India, Ethiopia, and Tanzania.

His expertise spans medicinal chemistry, natural products, forensic toxicology, environmental health, and drug discovery. He has authored numerous international research publications, developed academic programs in Forensic and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and supervised over 100 undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.

Prof. Srivastava is also an active innovator with multiple patents and award-winning healthcare and environmental innovations, including herbal therapeutic formulations and water purification technologies. As a Board Advisor to ADREEVA School of Health Professions, he brings valuable academic leadership, research excellence, and a strong commitment to advancing healthcare education and innovation.

Ms. Francess Boima

Ms. Francess Boima is a seasoned Public Health Specialist and Nutritionist with over 15 years of experience working with international NGOs and UN agencies in humanitarian and development settings. She holds an MSc in Public Health Promotion from Leeds Beckett University, UK, and a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition and Dietetics from Njala University.

She currently serves as a Nutritionist with the World Food Programme (WFP) in Sierra Leone, providing technical leadership for national nutrition programmes focused on preventing malnutrition, strengthening food systems, and improving nutrition outcomes for vulnerable populations, especially women and children.

Ms. Boima has worked with organizations including UNICEF, Action Against Hunger, and Plan International, leading large-scale health and nutrition programmes and supporting national nutrition policies and strategies. She is recognized for her expertise in programme design, strategic leadership, monitoring and evaluation, and community engagement.

As a Board Advisor at ADREEVA School of Health Professions, she supports the institution’s mission to advance excellence in health education and train skilled healthcare professionals.
